343 gives Monke meme a much-deserved glow-up
Brutes are one of the races that players will encounter in Halo Infinite. They’re supposed to look big and scary. Unfortunately, the image that circulated in 2020 was anything but. The Brutes looked like they were made for a game that was going to release in the 2000s, instead of something for the Xbox Series S/X.
343 is probably aware of this (who wouldn’t be?), which would explain why the leaked in-game screenshots of Halo Infinite show a reworked look for the game’s brutes. Of course, it should already go without saying that because these screenshots do not come from a legitimate source, you should take the info lightly. But, if it’s true, then it’s good news. If the screenshots are representative of what the Brutes will look like when Infinite releases, then they look the part of something that would intimidate others. Speaking of good news, Craig has a reason to celebrate. The now-popular Brute was the subject of a screenshot from Infinite’s July 2020 gameplay reveal. His face is the reason why the monke meme exists. If the screenshots are real, then Craig shouldn’t feel embarrassed anymore. Thankfully, Halo Infinite fans don’t have to wait too long to find out how the Brutes in Halo Infinite will look. 343 confirmed in August that Infinite will release on December 8. This means that players only need to wait for a couple of months to get a chance to see Brutes in Infinite in action. 343 might also give audiences a glimpse of Brutes in Infinite in one of its upcoming technical previews over the next two weekends.
