In an official blog post, Ubisoft confirmed that they will make their open-world hacker title free to play on all major platforms. The free trial will last from March 25 up until March 29, giving you a little over 3 days.
Get Ready to Take Down an Oppressive British Regime
— Watch Dogs: Legion (@watchdogsgame) March 23, 2021 In Watch Dogs: Legion, players will stand up and fight against an oppressive military company that now effectively controls the city of London, after a series of bombings that they claim were orchestrated by the same syndicate in 2016’s Watch Dogs 2, DedSec. Unfortunately, as interesting as that premise is, you can’t exactly play through the entire game during the free trial period. According to Ubisoft, you can only play until the “Skye Larsen” mission. Depending on how you play the game, it could take you around 8 to 15 hours to get there. This means that you won’t be able to fill your entire weekend by binging Watch Dogs: Legion from start to finish. If it’s any consolation though, you are free to test out the multiplayer mode of Watch Dogs: Legion. But, then again, you won’t be able to enjoy it in its entirety. Instead, you’ll only be able to hop in with a couple of friends and do several co-op missions that aren’t nearly as entertaining as the recently-released tactical operation. In addition to this, you’ll also be able to play the Spiderbot Arena mode.

The Ultimate Edition is available for up to 60% off its original price with the Season Pass receiving a hefty 25% discount for those who already own the game. Speaking of the Season Pass, owners will get a chance to play a new character named Mina in late April. She is a former test object that has the ability to control other people’s minds. After that, Ubisoft is bringing back the original Watch Dogs protagonist, Aiden Pearce, along with Wrench from Watch Dogs 2, in Watch Dogs: Legion - Bloodline, which follows events that take place before the start of Watch Dogs: Legion. Lastly, in August, Ubisoft is planning a Watch Dogs crossover event with the Assassin’s Creed. They will reportedly be adding an all-new character in Darcy, who is a member of the British Brotherhood of Assassins, who is interested in joining Dedsec.
